The Hat Club will be hosting the 3rd Annual “Hat Club Salute” at the Little Rock Rivermarket Pavilion on Saturday May 19th, 2012. The Hat Club will be serving some of the best Crawfish in the state for your pleasure. The Crawfish will be accompanied by cold drinks, live music by Chris Henry, a silent auction, a raffle, and our one of a kind live crawfish race, “The Crawtucky Derby.” This year the Hat Club will be saluting UAMS Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit. We will also be recognizing former Salutes David Johnson and Danny Scherry. Tickets will be $30 pre-sale and $40 day of. The Hat Club of Little Rock cordially invites you to enter our inaugural golf tournament, The Hat Club Classic, held in memory of Brent Coker. The three-man scramble will be played at Stonelinks Golf Course in North Little Rock on Saturday, July 16th, with all proceeds benefiting the Joseph Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp. Morning and afternoon flights will be available to the first 72 teams to register. The $300 entry fee per team includes golf, lunch, beverages, prizes and lots of fun. Please join us as we honor Brent and raise awareness and capital for a great organization.

Thanks to all that came out! We cooked 1,100 pounds of mudbugs and everyone had a blast. Best of all, we raised well over $11,000 in net proceeds for charity in honor of David Johnson! Check us out tonight at 6:30 on KTHV presenting a $10,000 check to Big Brothers Big Sisters. We donated another $1,000 to the Danny Scherry Foundation as well this year. Yesterday’s Miracle League Wiffle Ball Tournament was a huge success, with over 1,000 in attendance throughout the day and lots of $$ raised for the Miracle League. Congrats to Regions Insurance for winning the tournament and to My Wiffle Ponies for winning Best Dressed. Also, Hats off to John Paul Rector for taking home the winnings from the Homerun Derby. A special shout out goes to Rachael Bradbury for almost toppling John Paul in his Homerun Derby streak!
